Holy crap, so I randomly signed onto my Xanga for the first time since, well, July, and I see 9 comments... holy crap, I didn't know people read these things.  But yea, I've been updating my LiveJournal on a regular basis if you care to look.

Let's see, what's been happening... junior year sucks, and AP Language is killing me.  My English teacher last year was seriously on something to think I'd be able to handle this course.  Yet I can't switch down to Honors English because my schedule is locked... it's a long story.  So my GPA is probably going to drop like a whole point this semester, and I'll never make it into Yalvard or Brownell, or UC LA / SD / I / D.  Oh well.  DeVry here I come!

Marching band has been going, well, decently.  We had our third game last night, and there were 3 different tempos during the second song on the field.  No one in our band watches the drum major, go figure.

School is alot different this year for many reasons.
1)  My friends who graduated last year are gone.
2)  A new school rule says that students can no longer be in Richardson Hall (the fine arts building) during lunch or after school unless they are getting books from their lockers.  For the last two years, I spent literally ALL my time during lunch and after school in Richardson.  Like, it was where we'd go to hang out.  I guess you'd have to see the building to understand why.  Yet now we can no longer hang out there, and I don't have anywhere else to (except for the student lounge, but I hate the student lounge).
3)  Most of my friends who are graduating this year have been stricken with a severe case of senioritis, and they are all really exclusive and are like "oh, we're so cool, we're seniors now, we're not allowed to hang out with non-seniors," so I don't see them nearly as often.
4)  After GHP, normal school just sucks.  I think that statement is pretty axiomatic and does not require and explanation.

Oy, homecoming is next weekend and I still have to make plans for that...  And I have to do all my homework and crap.  But on a happier note, the lovely red-haired Hannah Freeman has invited me to her Prom in March!  Huzzah!  Now I just need to find someone to take me to my Prom.  Oh well, I have time.

I hope everyone's doing OK and enjoying their Labor Day weekend... so e-mail me / IM me / comment and tell me how you're doing!

- Mannie
